dutifully passed on (and pasted from) by missssssster roberts.

I give you.. THE BOOK BATON.

ahem.

---

Name three books on your book shelf. One from each end and one from the middle.

Bruce W. Talamon - Bob Marley: Spirit Dancer
Kirsten Bradbury - Essential Dali
John Kennedy Toole - A Confederacy Of Dunces

What reading material is in your bathroom?

just tempo-moved into my buddies' place. I found Stuff, Field & Stream, and XXL on the shitter.

[smoke break]

Favorite authors and why.

Kerouac - red wine, jazz, and zen; at any moment words may speed off the page.
Hesse - I read Siddhartha.
Gibran - "Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls."

I'll stop at three for all our sakes.

Least favorite authors and why.

I'd rather stick with the positives.. sorry.

What author is over rated?

See above.

Would you (have you) picked up a woman (or man) in a bookstore?

It'd be according to how much she (or he) weighed.

Do you eat while you read? If so what’s your food of choice?

I'm gonna go with coffee. yeah, I eat it. so?

Name one book you’d recommend for someone searching for meaning or insight or inspiration.

Meaning: Hung Tzu-ch'eng - A Chinese Garden of Serenity: Reflections of a Zen Buddhist
Insight: Daniel Quinn - Ishmael & My Ishmael, so as to double the dose.
Inspiration: Siddhartha (link above)

Name one book you’d recommend for a day on the beach or a rainy day in the house.

Paulo Coelho - The Alchemist

Do you judge a book by its cover?

most are either given or recommended, at least heard of - I"m not much of a shopper.

In the bookstore, what section do you head to first?

the comfy chairs.

Five people to whom I’m passing THE BOOK BATON:

alissa
andi
esther
heather
jenkins

---

and they're off!
